About Jewish Women's Discovery Program

Join the next class - 16 May, 2022

The Jewish Women's Discovery Program is a fortnightly women's class on the deeper meanings behind fundamental Jewish concepts.

Each session, we come together to learn about Judaism through conversation, stories, and Jewish texts. Each session, we discover how timeless Jewish ideas can elevate our lives and make us better versions of ourselves, today.

Course breakdown:

Session 1 - The Jewish Soul
Session 2 - Why Judaism needs women
Session 3 - Action as Connection: What is a Mitzvah?
Session 4 - Shabbat and her Candles: Being vs. Doing
Session 5 - Separating Challah
Session 6 - The Mikvah: Woman and the Moon
Session 7 - Kosher as a Spiritual Diet
Session 8 - Around the Jewish Year: An Eternal Story

This is a wonderful opportunity to:
• Connect with other growth-minded young women
• Have meaningful discussions and ask anything
• Tour a women's mikvah (ritual bath)
• Learn to make challah
• Take time for self-enrichment amid the busy week

Scheduling: Begins April 18th, 7:30pm.
Fortnightly classes, 8 in total.
Final class July 25th.

Location: YJP HQ Library - 1 A'beckett Street, East St. Kilda.
