About Shabbat Schmooze at Souper collab with ZFA, Masa and UIA YL

Shabbat Schmooze collab dinner presented by YJP Melbourne and ZFA, Masa Israel Journey, and UIA Young Leadership.

At this event we will be hosting 2x inspiring international guest speakers sharing their stories and journey as professional athletes playing “Sport in Service of Peace”.


🌟 DEEMA EL-RAHMI

Deema is a 21-year old Muslim from Shefa-Amr in northern Israel. Deema plays professional football for “Maccabi Hadera” football club, and coaches
a team of young girls from her hometown. Deema joined the Peres Center’s “Sport in the Service of Peace” programme as a coach working with teams of Jewish and Arab children from the communities of Tamra and Gan Shmuel.

🌟 HADAS PRAWER

Hadas works as a coach for a local girls team in Jerusalem for the Peres Center where she leads group of 20 Jewish girls in joint activities with Arab girls from the nearby city of Abu Ghosh. After completing her degree in the United States, Hadas returned to the Peres Center as a Project Manager for the “Sport in the Service of Peace” program.

Hosted at Social Enterprise eatery, Souper Bistro, the team at Souper has prepared a menu going all out on what will literally be a SUPER Shabos spread... Attendees can expect to be treated to starters, cold entrees, hot entrees, and multiple courses of mains to share dishing up a multi-course Eastern European banquet to please and impress!

YJP Melbourne is excited to host these two incredible international guests and be back in collaboration with organisations Masa Israel Journey, UIA and ZFA who are all doing incredible things on the ground and across the seas globally!
